Sonic Forces: Speed Battle是2017年发布的竞速网络游戏。 由欧洲世嘉公司和Hardlight针对Android和iOS两大移动平台开发,用来促进当时即将到来的Sonic Forces。 最初世嘉于2017年9月11日在菲律宾和2017年9月20日在加拿大的App Store(最终是在Google Play)发布内侧。 于2017年11月2日在全球的iOS平台正式发布,并于2017年11月15日在Android平台上正式发布。

制作历程 编辑

Sonic Forces: Speed Battle是针对当前智能手机的功能而量身定做的游戏,于2016年6月首次开发。最开始以Hardlight为原型,以检测该游戏是否能够像预期的那样运行。利用这些早期的原型使用现有的技术作为游戏玩法的测试,例如Sonic Dash 2:Sonic Boom。该游戏最初是为Sonic Boom系列量身定做的,使用了以Team Sonic为首的6名角色。

从开发之初,Hardlight希望游戏的级别更具有灵活性。 为此,他们开发了一个模块化系统,允许创建任何他们想要的项目。 Hardlight也希望游戏从一开始就成为一个基于技能的全球多人游戏。 依靠《刺猬索尼克》系列中的经典要素,添加了赛道上的分支路径,使游戏更加刺激独特。还特别注重适合玩家运行的移动环境。在开发过程中,工作人员在打磨设计前,也专注于感觉更合适的赛道。

2016年,Hardlight将他们的想法传递给了Sonic Team,当时他们正在计划开发一款手机游戏。在与饭冢隆讨论后,开发团队决定将游戏命名为Sonic Forces: Speed Battle。随后,Hardlight在寻找开发环境和metagame的同时扩展了他们的团队。在开发了大约一年后,Sonic Forces: Speed Battle发布并启动了内测版,这样Hardlight就可以通过游戏测试版在全球发布之前找出多余的BUG。该游戏计划在全球推出3区域,共有12个赛道,在将来开发出更多的区域。

Sonic Forces:Speed Battle的游戏模式与Sonic Dash和Sonic Dash 2:Sonic Boom的游戏模式相类似,游戏还加入了Sonic Rivals的竞争要素。这个游戏已经不再是一个永无止境的跑酷游戏,而是一个最为基本的跑酷游戏,在这个游戏中,玩家选择一个角色在随机的赛道上与全世界的玩家们在网上实时地在线选择一个角色和种族。 比赛过程中,角色会随着时间的推移到达终点。 在比赛过程中,玩家可以收集多达100个金环(用来提升他们的奔跑速度),并在他们到达目标前闪避障碍物(主要是“幻影红宝石的原型”)。一旦撞到障碍物就会导致玩家失去一定数额的金环并放慢速度。 比赛结束后,玩家可以保留他们所收集到的所有金环。

在比赛过程中,可用角色是自动前进的。同时,玩家可以使用“旋转跳跃”和“滑行”来躲避障碍物并摧毁敌人。 他们还可以通过赛道找到其他路径。 每个角色的速度,加速和力量统计都有不同的级别,并且可以在赛道上的各个项目框中获得独特的加速选项。而赛道上的道具可以提升玩家的进度或是用来对付他们的对手。

在比赛结束时,玩家可以通过制定角色获取一系列的战斗宝箱。此外,第一名和第二名的获胜者可以获得一个解锁的胜利宝箱,获取更多的奖励,比如大量的金环或者角色碎片,每个人物都有多个角色。红星环的特点是可以从免费的宝箱中获取高级奖励,或者使用现金支付(通常是美元),也可以用来购买多余的金环,宝箱或是用来解锁已获得的胜利宝箱。

只要每一个角色收集到足够的碎片后即可解锁该角色,玩家也可以使用金环提升该角色的等级,从而提高竞争者的道具效果和比赛开始的次数。根据他们完成比赛时所处在的低位,玩家将获得或失去奖杯,这是一个类似于其他竞技游戏中的Elo评分系统匹配的数字排名。这种配对游戏机制是“等级”系统的一部分,它决定了玩家可以游玩哪些赛道以及玩家从宝箱获得的奖励数量。 日常宝箱每隔4个小时分发发给玩家,1个地方最多可以存放2个宝箱。 玩家还可以通过在线排行榜中查看对方的奖杯数。

每当角色升级时,玩家就会获得XP。 当一位玩家的等级提高时,他们的金环加速和反抗能力也会随之增加。

奔跑之星编辑

每隔24小时(从 version 1.1.0 开始,从上午8点开始),每个玩家都会有一个随机的可玩角色,突出显示为“奔跑之星”。 当玩家使用“奔跑之星角色参加比赛时,玩家的竞争宝箱奖励为双倍,可连续使用5场比赛。这么做的目的为的是鼓励玩家使用各种角色。

  • Version 1.0.0 (25 October 2017) - The update brought the following changes:
    • A new introduction to the battle races during loading times. These displays the course being played, all players' names, their chosen character, Trophies and their player and character levels.
    • Lots of gameplay and balance improvements
      • The Item slots now properly display multiple Fireballs, Tornados and Moto-Bugs Items if they were picked up.
      • The Tier level Trophy thresholds have been increased for the following Tiers: Fighter (200 → 300), Specialist (400 → 600), Veteran (700 → 1000), Leader (1000 → 1500) and Hero (1500 → 2100).
      • The Power stat has now been renamed as the Strength stat.
      • The following characters have their stat values adjusted: Shadow (Speed: 10/10 → 9/10), Rouge (Speed: 9/10 → 8/10 and Strength: 6/10 → 5/10), Omega (Speed: 5/10 → 7/10), Vector (Speed: 7/10 → 5/10), Espio (Speed: 6/10 → 7/10) and Charmy (Acceleration: 10/10 → 9/10).
      • Players can now only collect up to 100 Rings (top running speed is still capped at having 100 Rings).
      • Lightning now damages and takes Rings away from hit opponents. It also has a new visual effect.
      • Omega's Invincibility has now been replaced by the Electro Boost.
      • Fixed an issue that caused all items to be set to the level of the player using them rather than the level of the character they belong to.
  • Version 1.0.1 (1 November 2017) - The update brought the following changes:
    • The game's app icon has been changed.
    • Current players can refer the game to new players to earn additional reward chests.
    • Chaos, Classic Sonic, Metal Sonic, Silver and Zavok have been added as playable characters.
    • The Tier level Trophy thresholds have been increased for the following Tiers: Fighter (300 → 500), Specialist (500 → 1000), Veteran (1000 → 1500), Leader (1500 → 2250) and Hero (2100 → 3000).
    • The Trophy system was re-engineered to provide effective matchmaking between players, capping all players to have 3000 Trophies. Players who had over 3000 Trophies that were affected by the loss of Trophies were given an exclusive Chest as compensation.[9]
  • Version 1.0.3 (3 November 2017) - Implemented bug fixes and refinements including:
    • All Victory Chests have their unlock times increased. (Silver: 2 hours → 3 hours, Gold: 4 hours → 8 hours, Platinum: 8 hours → 12 hours, Diamond: 12 hours → 1 day/24 hours)
    • Lowered number of Gold Rings required to upgrade Common and Rare characters.
    • The amount of XP required to raise the player's level have increased for all levels.
    • Adjusted stat values of the following characters: Omega (Strength: 9/10 → 7/10), Shadow (Speed: 9/10 → 10/10), Espio (Strength: 7/10 → 6/10), Vector (Strength: 10/10 → 9/10).
  • Version 1.1.0 (15 November 2017) - This version also marked the global release of the game in Google Play. Google Play version owners were treated to an exclusive Welcome Bundle of rewards (consisting of a Tier 1 Diamond Chest, 10000 Gold Rings and 150 Red Star Rings)[8] and also made the following changes:
    • Achievements have been added.
    • The daily Battle Chest count limit now resets everyday at the same time as with the Star Runner character (8am UTC).
    • All Chests in the game have new designs.
    • The Diamond Chest has been replaced by the Emerald Chest (The Emerald Chest still provides identical rewards to that of the Diamond Chest but its unlock time is 12 hours and its maximum Red Star Ring cost is 240. The player will still retain any Diamond Chests they have acquired prior to the update and can be unlocked as normal).
    • The maximum Red Star Ring cost of unlocking Victory Chests have been increased. (Silver: 20 → 30, Gold: 40 → 80, Platinum: 80 → 120)
    • Players that finish a race in second place now also obtain Victory Chests (previously only first place finishers can earn them).
